Lead Platform Engineer

***The location for this position is virtual/remote***

As a Lead Platform Engineer, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Software Engineering - Mobile Platform team reporting to the Principal Platform Engineer Mobile, you will support projects including working with the Global Brands organization and internal Technology teams to define and deliver technology capabilities for the Hilton portfolio of Brands.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Participate in demand intake and partner with Technology workstream and application leads to ensure all delivery commitments are met.
  • Guide Hilton Technology teams and vendors/partners to deliver updates/releases following Hilton's strategic Brand initiatives.
  • Support Brand programs requiring new technology, including leading the evaluation, analysis, and implementation of new solutions.
  • Be a liaison with business and GIS team to facilitate and drive privacy and security reviews to completion.

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Partner with Hilton's Brands to understand and detail their technology needs and to transform those requirements into result solutions.
  • Convey functional requirements to technical teams and progress reporting to collaborators and leaders.
  • Play an important part in supporting NUG opportunities, through innovative technology and the launching of new Brands.

What projects you will take ownership of:

  • Document issue progress and risks and provide updates to partners.
  • Manage special projects initiated by Brands requiring Platform Engineering support and participation.

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Three (3) years of experience leading multi-functional projects in a technology field
  • Two (2) years of experience leading Mobile projects
  • Experience writing detailed stories and requirements for mobile app software development
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

It would be useful if you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
  • Seven (7) + years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Four (4) + years of experience leading multi-functional projects in a technology field
  • Four (4) + years of experience with Hospitality Technology
  • Understanding of core Hilton Technology engine
  • Experience with Hospitality Technology
