Local $128,750.00 increased to $133,750 upon successful initial check pilot observation
Remote (Other than living in Alaska) $105,000 increased to $110,750 upon successful initial check pilot observation.
Current Guardian Flight King Air pilots will receive the new hire instructor base salary, before Geo Modifier if any, or their current base hourly rate converted to salary whichever is higher.
$10K sign on bonus-paid after successful completion of checkrides and IOE if required.
$5K relocation assistance if moving to Alaska.
Maintains a schedule as set forth by the company, typically 14 to 16 days a month.

JOB SUMMARY
The Instructor Pilot - Lead will aid the Aviation Training Director in executing their duties and responsibilities. Instructor Pilot - Lead reports to the Aviation Training Director. The Instructor Pilot - Lead will oversee and conduct training for Guardian Flight's fleet of Beechcraft B200s aircraft based in Alaska. Training will be conducted in the classroom, simulator and in-flight for both initial and recurrent courses. Additionally, after gaining experience in Guardian Flight operations, the Instructor Pilot - Lead will conduct checkrides per FAR 135.293, .297, and .299.
This is a new position, and the successful candidate will help to define the role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Maintains a high level of knowledge of the General Operations Manual, the Operation Specifications, the GFL FAA approved Training Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, applicable accreditation requirements, and applicable company policies and procedures.
• Assist in the recruitment, hiring and discharging of training department personnel.
• Assist the Aviation Training Director in creating and revising a monthly training schedule.
• Schedule pilots for travel, training, and other duties, as necessary.
• Assist in the creation of new policies/procedures and review existing policies/procedures to improve operations.
• Assist in the creation of new manuals, checklists, forms, and training documents and review existing manuals to improve the training department.
• Administer training for new and recurrent instructor pilots/check pilots, as necessary.
• Administer disciplinary actions, when necessary, as directed by the Aviation Training Director.
• Assist the Aviation Training Director in coordinating and/or administering Pilot Flight and ground training.
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Aviation Training Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 2,500 hours of flight time, with 1000 hours PIC airplane, 500 Multi Engine, 500 cross-country and 100 night. In addition, 100 hours of actual or simulated instrument time, of which at least 75 hours of that time was in actual flight.
• Must have extensive knowledge and experience flying King Airs with preference on B200 experience
• Alaska Experience highly desired
• Hold and maintain a First-Class Medical Certificate.
• ATP-ME
• CFI preferred.
• Instructing background and experience heavily weighted.
