Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, the Lead Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the coordination of pharmacy services provided by Pharmacy Technicians.
For Saint Luke's Medication History:
Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification Board within first year of employment is required.

Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, the Lead Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the coordination of pharmacy services provided by Pharmacy Technicians.
- Supervise daily operations of central pharmacy and/or specific areas of focus (e.g. IV room workflow, medication ordering, controlled substance inventory management)
- Serve as the lead trainer for technical staff of designated areas for the health system
- Assist the Pharmacy Director or Pharmacy Operations Manager with personnel management as assigned
- Perform all accountabilities associated with compounding, dispensing, charging and delivery of medications to the patient
- Ensures and monitor performance expectations and day-to-day task completion of Pharmacy Technicians
- Work as a Pharmacy Technician 80% of scheduled time in order to maintain competency and maintain proper staffing levels
For Saint Luke's Medication History:
- Supervise daily operations and processes of the medication history program
- Assist in developing and revising training material
- Serve as a liaison and resource to the SLHS pharmacy staff, virtual expert care staff and medical staff on issues pertaining to medication histories
- Assist the Pharmacy Director or Pharmacy Operations Manager with personnel management as assigned
- Ensure and monitor performance expectations and day-to-day task completion of Pharmacy Technicians
- Perform all accountabilities associated with collecting accurate medication histories
- Work as a medication history technician 80% of scheduled time in order to maintain competency and maintain proper staffing levels
