Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Performance Marketing Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work directly with the head of Performance Marketing and be responsible for spearheading our Performance Marketing content development strategy. This role involves managing a team of skilled writers, guiding content creation to support our marketing and revenue goals, and ensuring all content is engaging, accurate, and aligns with our brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management and Leadership:
- Work with the head of Performance Marketing to develop strategy around content geared towards lead generation and Performance Marketing.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of content writers.
- Foster a collaborative environment and encourage innovative content strategies.
- Develop a process for content development that includes edits and regular updates to stories.
- Conduct regular employee performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Data analysis with an emphasis on developing reports that track performance of all stories along with content optimization.
- Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement content strategies that align with the Performance Marketing goals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate best practices into content strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing and SEO teams to optimize content for maximum engagement and conversion.
- Use keyword data and conduct competitive research to inform content development strategy.
- Creation and Review:
- Oversee the creation of compelling and high-quality digital content.
- Edit and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency.
- Ensure all content is up to date and aligns with current marketing strategies.
- Management:
- Assign stories and manage content calendars to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to content and marketing.
- Analysis:
- Analyze content performance and provide insights for improvement.
- Implement data-driven strategies to enhance content engagement, reach, and conversion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in digital content development or marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Performance Marketing, digital advertising, and SEO best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with content performance analysis.
- Experience with Google Analytics and knowledge of digital media metrics.
- Experience working at a media company is preferred.

$60,000 - $75,000
