Lead Mobility Engineer

Vanguard's Mobility Engineering team is responsible for the technologies and capabilities that deliver the end user experience to our global crew through a mix of both mobile devices and software.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced senior engineer passionate about delivering a great experience to users through modern endpoint management tools and practices.As a Senior Mobility Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing MDM Solutions (Intune, JAMF, WorkspaceONE, etc). You will develop MDM configurations, policies, application access/assignments driving user experience; work closely with cross-functional teams, to architect and deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions and participate in the development of user stories, sprint planning, and test case development / execution within an agile project environment.
**This is a hybrid role (in-office Tues-Wed-Thurs) can based in either Charlotte, NC, or Wayne, Pennsylvania. This position cannot be based remote and would require relocation for candidates currently living outside of either business locations**
In this Role you will:

• Design and implement Microsoft Intune and JAMF solutions that meet end user requirements. Create and manage Intune and JAMF policies for application deployment, device compliance, and security configurations to meet user requirements. Ensure seamless integration with other Microsoft 365 services.
• iOS, iPadOS, VisionOS, and Android (including mobile device and VR/XR devices)
• Engineer Per-app VPN/Tunnel configurations and solutions.
• Work with internal clients to support continuous deliver/continuous integration (CI/CD) pipeline automations and testing for Vanguard build mobile applications.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance policies within Intune and JAMF including mobile threat detection solutions.
• Documentation and Training: Create detailed documentation of Intune and JAMF configurations, mobile OS provisioning processes, end-user enrollment processes.
• Collaborate with the architecture team to ensure alignment with broader infrastructure goals.
• Following ITIL industry-standard processes and procedures.
• Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and advancements in mobile devices (including VR/XR) and support techniques.

• Participate in special projects and performs other related duties as assigned.
• Have interpersonal skills necessary to work with various individuals and teams of engineers, clients, and leaders across the company.

What it Takes:

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• 5 or more years of experience diagnosing and solving problems in a mobile MDM environment.
• Expertise in Intune and JAMF.
• Experience with WorkspaceONE.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Working knowledge of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and routing protocols.
• Comfortable with security and compliance best practices.

Specializations that'll have an impact:

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Intune Expert and JAMF Certifications.
• Advanced knowledge of iOS, iPadOS, Android, Intune, Azure, and endpoint architecture including per-app VPN platforms such as Zscaler/JAMF Connect.
• Experience with VR/XR platforms such as Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro.
• Experience with mobile threat detection platforms such as Crowdstrike Falcon/JAMF Protect.
• Ability to identify and implement automation opportunities to increase productivity and maintain high quality deployments.
• Working knowledge of F5, ZScaler, Okta, Crowdstrike Falcon, JAMF Connect, JAMF Protect, Splunk, and Systrack.

• Experience leading and mentoring staff, technical support organizations.
• Experience with production readiness review process.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple problems simultaneously.
