What you need to know about this position:
- The Lead Medical Assistant Liaison for Nursing Resources works under the direct supervision of the assigned offices, physician, mid-level licensed provider, office manager, and practice manager, and in cooperation with other office staff, in assisting with safe and effective patient care in compliance with established standards and protocols of Columbus Regional Health Physicians' goals and objectives.
- The Lead Medical Assistant Liaison is expected to travel to various offices as needed.
- This position is responsible for routine office functions in correspondence with their base role of Medical Assistant.
- This role is responsible for having completed and earned the role of EPIC Credentialed Trainer.
- The shift for this full-time position is Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.
- The hourly range for this position is between $19.76 and $29.64. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
What is required for this position:
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required; or completion of a Medical Assistant credentialing test within 90 days of employment.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant required through a recognized certification organization such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); American Medical Technologists (AMT); Medical Assistant Certification from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP); National Healthcare Association (NHA) or the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or must obtain within 90 days of employment
- Epic Credentialed Training Certification required
- Minimum of one (1) year of Primary Care Experience preferred. Candidates who have performed an externship in a private practice setting may be considered.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
