Lead Media Account Manager
The Lead Media Account Manager is the account quarterback, internally and externally - a strategic partner to clients and key internal teams such as sales, product, campaign operations, media buying and data science. This role is critical to the success of KPM and our clients. The Lead Media Account Manager is a dynamic role that successfully manages multiple and/or complex clients, oversees a high volume of campaigns, creates impactful client relationships, and mentors junior team members. Ideal candidate has experience across a variety of media tactics including search, programmatic, social and onsite, must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment, and have an innate passion for building and fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strong partnership with Sales AE working collaboratively on developing & building client relationships with strong awareness of overarching client goals and objectives.
  • Serve as the central point of contact across internal teams and clients fostering strong client relationships through exceptional client service.
  • Partner closely with the Account Executive on client media plans and provide recommendations based on historical campaign performance and client goals.
  • Act as a mentor and/or lead across the Account Management team, providing leadership, point of views, training, guidance & support on client relationships & ways of working best practices.
  • Manage full campaign life cycle including but not limited to, organizing and conducting kick-off calls, monitoring campaign performance in-flight, end of campaign reporting and invoice management.
  • Oversight of campaign execution with the expectation of proactively identifying issues, diagnosing problems, and working cross-functionally to provide timely solutions. Proactively share key issues and learnings with cross-functional team to eliminate future issues.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, responsible for leading client calls providing campaign status updates, speaking to performance, answering ad hoc questions, and providing overarching recommendations.
  • Analyze campaign performance & proactively monitor campaign performance with a strong ability to recommend topline media optimizations (i.e., budget shifts, pacing, performance improvements, etc.).
  • Excellent campaign performance story-teller, leveraging data and insights to support strategic recommendations & optimizations. Responsible for overarching campaign performance and wrap report delivery to client.
  • Own cross-sell/up-sell opportunities by leveraging data-driven media strategy within reporting, connecting client business need with campaign performance.
  • Partner with Product and Strategy teams to successfully roll out new product offerings, leading overarching process development and ways of working across the organization to ensure successful adoption across teams and clients.
  • Deep understanding across the breadth of Kroger Precision Marketing's portfolio of media products & processes, with a pulse on the industry and competitor key offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree 5-7 years of account management experience with a focus on digital media, and ideally recent focus on search and/or onsite media.
  • Digital Media experience required.
  • Experience within onsite advertising, search media, AdTech, publisher, agency, or retail, strongly preferred.
  • Experience with yield optimization, building media plans and providing data-driven recommendations to clients.
  • Proven record of maintaining and building client relationships.
  • Strong experience in managing cross-channel campaigns & making strategic optimizations to exceed client's goals across search, display, OTT, email, etc.
  • Experience with coaching or mentoring junior team members.
  • Ability to proactively evaluate processes, identify & initiate improvements/solutions to drive efficiency and innovation within the team and organization.
  • Motivate and influence a positive, constructive culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong project management experience and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in driving recommendations and solutions forward.
