Lead Manufacturing Technician, Phased Array

JOB DESCRIPTION
dB Systems Inc. is a local engineering and manufacturing firm who manufactures state-of-the-art air navigation antennas. You can view our website at www.dbsant.com. We are seeking a full-time Lead Manufacturing Technician who will specialize in manufacturing, assembly, testing, and quality inspections for immediate hire. You will be expected to lead team members by direction and by example. Our ideal candidate has 2-10 years of experience manufacturing/assembling parts and using a variety of hand tools. Day to day will involve training and supervising team members, cutting and bending semi-rigid coax, soldering components using a soldering iron and resistance soldering system, cable assembly, hardware mechanical assembly, subassembly, final assembly, packaging, and shipments.

Our typical business hours are 9/80s. Meaning, Monday - Thursday nine (9) hour days and Friday eight (8) hour days with every other Friday off. We offer flexible scheduling during the day time hours with a thirty-minute to one-hour lunch. As a government contractor, we require all employees to pass a pre-employment drug screening who thereafter are subject to random drug screenings while on the job.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain high quality output

- Maintain high quantity output

- Shipping deliverables to customers; including packaging the correct parts properly, printing accurate shipping labels, and verifying that the package leaves same day in to support critical deadlines

- Give team members tasks needed to meet important due dates

- Offer team members training as required

- Be available to answer team member’s production related questions and address their needs

- Help solve problems related to production

- Take on difficult tasks outside of your normal responsibilities when asked, i.e. occasional travel, vendor relationship management, etc.

- Maintain and encourage team members to maintain a high efficiency

- Ensure the availability of parts and tools required to complete all production-based jobs

- Aid Quality Assurance by ensuring all procedural checks are met

- Aid management and engineers by pointing out discrepancies in procedures and drawings
