About the position:

We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our Capital Projects Team and serve as a technical team lead. This is an exciting role that gives you an insight into many aspects of the company and will put your leadership and engineering skills to good use. In this role, you will use your technical knowledge, experience, leadership ability, and the established Capital Projects process to:

  • Become a subject matter expert on the Capital Projects process, provide training to new engineers, and help team members hone their skills.
  • Provide technical guidance to the project engineers on your team.
  • Manage your team’s overall performance and ability to deliver to scope.
  • Prepare and present various reports on the team’s capital project status.
  • Simultaneously lead projects that are semi-complex to complex in nature.
  • Participate as a key team member on large cross-functional project teams.
  • Manage external equipment and fixture suppliers in support of Capital Projects.
  • Perform a variety of engineering work as part of delivering a successful project such as combination tables, value stream maps, work cell layouts, technical specifications, evaluations of solutions and suppliers, leading design reviews and equipment acceptance testing events, managing resolution of issues, etc.
  • Present status of your projects to senior management and executive level staff.
  • Recommend changes in project direction in response to business requirements.
  • Keep abreast of innovation in state-of-the-art engineering techniques and have a willingness to learn new processes, techniques, and systems.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • 3+ years engineering experience is required.
  • Must have experience executing Capital Projects.
  • Experienced in managing projects and leading technical groups.
  • Exceptional communicator; both oral and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present technical material to technically diverse audiences.
  • Strong ability to plan, organize, and carry out technical activities.
  • Capable of following a process, yet has the ability to be creative and innovative.
  • Efficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suit.
  • Availability to periodically travel domestically or internationally.

 

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience implementing capital equipment projects.
  • Experience with fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.
  • Knowledge of Raymond’s products and experience in the forklift industry.
  • Some exposure to PLC’s, robots, AGV’s, simulation software, etc.
  • Some level of working knowledge on troubleshooting equipment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project and 2-D AutoCAD for plant layouts.

 

About the total compensation package:

Salary - Expected to be between $82,800 and $106,000 depending on the selected candidate’s background.
