Lead RAD Mammographer

Radiology Breast Center department is looking for a Lead RAD Mammographer.  Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Dallas Margot Perot Building, 8160 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours:Full-Time/40hr weekdays and occasional weekends

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED

EDUCATION

  •         Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or
  •         Associate Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

  •         2 Years' experience in mammography required and
  •         Year digital experience preferred
  •         MQSA QC Mammographer required
  •         Team Lead experience preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography upon hire required and
  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Direct Patient Care:

  • Performs mammograms and diagnostic radiographs.
  • Produce quality images in mammography as defined by the American College of Radiology guidelines.

Quality Assurance/Control:

  • Staff supervision and coordination of daily department activities.
  •  Mammography: Phantom images, visual inspections, compression checks, screen contract, peer reviews, monthly check list for all mammography units.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
  •  Diagnostic Radiology: Visual inspections for the R F, Tomo, mammo rooms and apron and glove leak checks, screen contact, peer review and technologist peer review.

Non-Direct Patient Care:

  •  Documentation: Accurately enters patient data in RIS system for patient tracking and patient exam verification (billing of exam).
  • Training, Education, and Team Support:
  • Assists in implementing and monitoring performance evaluation procedures, establishing professional development goals,
