Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines. This person is responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. Develops, publishes, and implements test plans. Writes and maintains test automation. Develops Quality Assurance standards. Defines and tracks Quality Assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Maintains and controls ALL IT-QA Labs, including set-up, configuration and scheduling of usage.

1. Observes computer monitor screen during program test to detect error codes or interruption of program and corrects errors. Analyzes root cause of quality problems, reports impact on policy and procedures along with determining disconnects and training needs. Recommend design improvements or corrections to engineers throughout the development and testing process.
2. Conducts compatibility tests with provided software, both manually and with automated testing tools. Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently. Create an end to end test plan; executing and managing all activities in the plan to ensure all objectives are met and the solution works as expected. Train and educate junior members on all plans.
3. Provide Documentation, technical advice and counsel to management and to less experienced Quality Assurance personnel. Promotes standardization and Quality Assurance “best practices” to drive continuous improvement
4. Escalation resource for Quality Assurance Technicians and Technologists as both a QA and Leader. Provide timely updates and elevate critical risks to the Quality Assurance Unit Manger and Business Owners.
5. Operate and maintain test labs. Validates and audits the various set-up scripts and procedures as needed for LAB set-up and initial configuration as part of LAB Prep Work. Works with other IT departments to insure Hardware and OS compatibility. Insures Patching and "Gold Images" are validated and accurate.
6. Possess in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite , Web Browsers and Sheetz Specific Software, is able to provide technical advice and counsel to less experienced IT admin Quality Assurance personnel. Develops testing scripts and plans as required and is experienced with all of the tools sets used in QA functions. Reviews new software suites and solutions to improve the QA function as needed.
7. Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable. Consult with product development to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system. Evaluate resource constraints and reports to Unit Manager.
8. Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
9. Facilitate teams that may include peer-level professionals, specialized technicians, managers, contractors, consultants and/or customers. Provide insight into technology resource constraints as required.
10. Provide evening and weekend support as needed. Sheetz is open 24/7/365 and as such, our internal and external customers may require our QA support at any time.

Education

• A four year degree which includes courses or training in computer programming, systems analysis, system development, or systems engineering, is required.
• A four year degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering is preferred.

Experience

• 10 years of applicable experience in a technology environment, to include:
