Form of workRW Garcia, a subsidiary of UTZ Quality foods, is looking to grow their loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for an Lead Inspector to join their team of manufacturing professionals in Las Vegas, NV on 2nd shift.
As a Lead Inspectorthis candidate will be primarily responsible to do the last inspection before the product is sent to our customers. This schedule will work 7:00pm-7:00am.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all production / quality tests as required
- Visually inspect product as it comes off the cooler belt and remove all defective product and foreign material(s)
- Taste product regularly for crispness and flavor
- Communicate quality concerns with urgency to Production team members, Production Supervisor, or the Quality Manager to maintain product excellence
- Ensure salt levels and coverage of the chips in the spice tumblers meets product specifications
- Verify that correct product is being produced meets the required standards (i.e. the correct seasoning is being used, the correct code date is on boxes and bags, and the correct packaging materials are being used)
- Perform metal detector checks
- Prevent product(s) that fail to meet quality standards from passing through the production process
- Document inspection results by completing accurate and detailed reports per standard
- Perform cleaning / purging of seasoning from the line from previous seasoning used to prevent cross contamination
- Follow standard procedure for correcting mistakes in documents (i.e. line through the incorrect information, make sure the information can still be read, make the change, date and initial the change)
- Perform any other duties as required by Production Supervisor, Production Manager, or Quality Manager

Requirements
- Be able to lift 50 lbs. of seasoning/salt
- Work in a noisy environment with large machinery
- Able to work on weekends and OT when needed
- Comply with all company safety requirements; and
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with company staff and others contacted in the course of the work.
- Ability to assume responsibility and exercise good judgment in making decisions within the scope of authority of the position.
