ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Graphic Design Leadership:

• Lead the graphic design team, providing creative direction, mentorship, and technical guidance to ensure the highest quality designs.
• Review and critique the creative work of peer Graphic Designers, offering constructive feedback from a technical standpoint to elevate the overall quality of marketing campaigns.

Brand Development:

• Take a lead role in designing for new brands within the Furniture Mart USA portfolio, contributing to the overall branding strategy and ensuring a cohesive visual identity across all touchpoints - including logos, color palettes, and overall brand aesthetics.
• Work with the leadership and merchandising team to create interior showroom and exterior signage mocks for new locations to showcase their unique aesthetic and positioning in the market.

Print and Digital Design:

• Produce large print pieces bi-annually, demonstrating a deep understanding of print design principles and techniques.
• Implement best practices for digital marketing design, ensuring that online assets align with the overall brand and marketing objectives.

Collaboration with Leadership Team:

• Work closely with the leadership team of Furniture Mart USA on various projects and marketing materials, providing design expertise and contributing to strategic discussions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design concepts into broader marketing initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in print and digital design.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of Graphic Designers.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong understanding of print design principles and best practices.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing design trends and strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• A genuine passion for creativity and a keen interest in staying up to date with industry trends.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design OR relevant experience.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• A degree or diploma in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
