Lead Fabricator/Welder

Lead Welder/Fabricator needed for manufacturing company in Tifton, GA.

Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5pm, Friday 7:30 am-12:00 pm

Skills and Experience needed:

· Minimum 12 years experience (6 as a lead welder/fabricator) in a welding/manufacturing facility

· Ideal Candidate will have strong organizational and leadership skills

· Basic computer skills

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints

· Must be able to pass a D1.1 welding test with flux core MIG (Tig experience a plus)

· Can operate all levels of machinery including press brakes, shears, forklifts, CNC plasma

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs with no restrictions

· Able to assist in repair, construction, maintenance or other tasks involved in client work orders

· Make sure that crew is OSHA and EPA compliant

· Experience in layout and fabrication of large weldments required

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or GED required

· Factory and shop experience required

· Lead Welder/Fabricator experience required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:.

• Layout, weld, and help crew fabricating large tanks
• Supervises daily work of crew
• Act as liaison between welding crew and supervisors
• Maintains work records and files
• Assigns duties to shop workers
• Assists in welding, repair, construction, maintenance or other tasks involved in client work orders
• Reviews work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards
• Enforces all health and safety policies in the shop
• Ensures that all deadlines are met
• Assists employees in on-site health or safety emergencies
• Addresses and resolves issues and complaints
• Inspect and coordinates cleaning and maintenance of shop equipment
• Create orders for supplies
• Operates shop machinery such as forklifts or manufacturing equipment
• Ensures that shop area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous material

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Warehouse, factory, or shop experience required.
• Supervisory experience required.

Pay

$27.00 and up depending on experience
