Lead Fabricator

**This is a working lead role**
Responsibilities:

• Lead production fabrication crews;
• Fabricate steel and other metal parts as indicated by the work order and blueprints
• Promote, monitor, and assure the safety of all team members by ensuring all safety policies/procedures are followed within the area of responsibility and throughout the facility.
• Create a team environment by actively and effectively communicating with all team members, fostering ownership and accountability within area of responsibility and throughout facility while visibly demonstrating the core values of Wastequip.
• Mentor, train and motivate team members on each job function ensuring individual and group productivity.
• Directly responsible for the quality of finished products produced through proper administration of the company's Quality Assurance Program within the area of responsibility. Promptly notifies management of any observed quality issues regardless of the area produced.
• Continually foster and support a continuous improvement environment. Immediately respond to problems within area of responsibility and take a lead role in problem-solving activities to reduce or eliminate reoccurrence.

Assure key performance indexes such as safety, quality and efficiency are achieved within the area of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years prior production experience
• 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience
• Prior experience operating a Press Brake and/or Shear. Set up experience a plus
• Understanding of basic CNC controls
• Ability to read blue prints and measuring tape
• Basic math and problem solving skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure)
• Experienced in a fast paced production environment
• Able to pass all EHS required tests and clearances
