As Lead Equal Employment Specialist within the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (ODEO) you will be responsible for promoting education, awareness and communication across the agency on Equal Opportunity (EO) and Diversity Initiatives and on the processing of EEO cases and AlternativeDispute Resolution (ADR). Leading team members and working with management to ensure compliance with EEOC laws, executive orders, and related NASA policies and directives.
Qualifications:Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:
- Counseling Informal EEO cases, including, drafting counselor reports, gathering relevant documents via a limited inquiry and framing EEO claims;
- Providing information to employees regarding workplace issues, including EEO and alternative resources including anti-harassment, grievances, Ombuds, ADR, etc.;
- Conducting different types of ADR to aggrieved employee's explaining benefits of ADR to management, and coordinating mediations; and
- Providing technical advice and guidance to supervisors and managers on EEO matters, including EEO processes and timelines, roles and responsibilities.
