Lead Enterprise Architect

Our client, a leading global IT service provider,is recruiting for a Lead Enterprise Architect to join their business in Spain.

JD / Overview

• As the Lead Telco Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for providing architectural leadership and guidance in the development and evolution of our telecommunications process, applications & infrastructure, with a specific focus on BSS (Business Support Systems) and OSS (Operational Support Systems). 
  

• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, efficient, and future-proof solutions that drive our digital transformation initiatives and enhance our competitive edge.
  

Tools & Skills: 

• Leading and working in cross-functional teams to evaluate architectural/ technology choices, provide insights and drive strategic outcomes.
  

• Architecture blueprinting, advising on organization structure and operating model \u2013 strategy / process/ IT Apps Dev and Support/ Cloud/ Contact Centres/ BPO
  

• Leading architecture for large scale multi-year, multi-vendor programs involving multiple pillars (for e.g., ADMS, System Integration, Infra/Cloud management, Networks, Security and BPS)
  

• Providing Enterprise architecture leadership in a variety of scenarios including Greenfield rollouts (New stack development, incremental evolution), large scale transformation (legacy modernization, Apps Rationalization, Migration, Closure) and Managed Services.
  

• Demonstrated ability in leading architecture and design teams, establishing governance structure involving standards, best practices , guidelines, and associated compliance processes.
  

• Critically review contract, delivery plans and application design in context of architecture and design implications, and subsequent implementation considerations
  

• Excellent understanding of software engineering and related concepts, DevOps, SRE, AIOps, Automation, ITIL, Non-functional design, sizing, and capacity planning, deployment design.
  

• Proficient in systems integration strategies, capability design, product models, data architecture, hybrid and cloud infrastructure architecture
  

• Ensuring that common technology, design practices, and infrastructure are used when applicable; and facilitate the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns; Influence common modeling, design, and coding practices. 
  

• Bring industry best practices to bear in making recommendations to relevant stakeholders on the overall governance structure in oversight and execution of the SDLC, tools usage, automation as well as recommendations on skill set requirements, organization structure, tools, processes, reporting and systems support. 
  

• Engage and establish an advisory relationship with senior stakeholders (business and technical) for transformation and modernization initiatives by delivering compelling solution design and presentations. 
  

• Telecommunication systems architecture experience covering OSS, BSS, RAN, Core, Cloud, customer digital experience. 
  

• Knowledgeable about telecom industry and technology trends including use of Data and Analytics , Automation and AI. 
  

• Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as TMF, ODA, NFV, NGMN, ONAP, O-RAN, ETSI and GDPR
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in telecommunications, with a strong focus on BSS and OSS architecture.
  

• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex, scalable telecommunications solutions.
  

• In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices in Online, BSS and OSS, cloud technologies, security, performance and technology solutions like Microservices.
  

• Ability to draw up the e2e Enterprise architecture for a large TelCo ensuring compliance to both functional and non-functional requirements.
  

• Good understanding of online capabilities and fulfillment channels.
  

• Good understanding of core TelCo products and the trends in the TelCo industry .
  

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  

• Experience with architectural modeling tools and methodologies.
  

• Agile way of working , project management skills and relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF) are good to have.
  

• Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
