Provide Quality Control Inspection for Honeywell Engineering Laboratory Quality Team while partnering with manufacturing teams and leaders. You will ensure that quality is being maintained in all factors involved in Qualification / Certification / Development.
As the Development Inspector, it is required to visually and or dimensionally inspect aero products to ensure conformity to Type Design, issue Airworthiness Certifications, export product and comply with all requirements, attend and maintain HON certification requirements and HON quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform conformity and part inspections of both full engines and piece part assemblies; internal engine components and production hardware
- Perform detail part inspections against engineering design data and drawings using CMM and manual plates
- Monitor and verify quality requirements are fully met
- Reverse engineer and troubleshoot hardware when out of established specifications
- Drive continuous improvements in support of Honeywell Quality Control Inspection and Honeywell Operating System
- Recommend and implement improvements that help deliver the best timely solutions resulting in the highest level of customer satisfaction
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE- High School Diploma
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) inspection processes
- Experience with inspection measurement tooling (i.e calipers, micrometers, gages, comparators, indicators, tooling, etc)
- Experience in Machining
- Experience with GD&T
- Knowledge of ZEISS CALYPSO software for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) a plus.
- Experience in development assembly and certification projects
- Trigonometry understanding, including reading drawings and blueprints
- Experience in troubleshooting and working in a lab and/or testing environment
- Excellent planning, execution, and project-management skills; consistently taking the initiative to get things done and doing things before being asked by others or forced to by events
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with other individuals in a team setting as well as with customers to define requirements and provide support
