Position now available for LEAD DRIVER - SERVICE TECHNICIAN
- Represent the OTTO company by owning the responsibility for the oversight of our Customer’s Container Service Office while providing leadership and direction for our team of Service Technician-Drivers and Yard Techs at the customer job site.
- Represent the OTTO company by being the point of contact for our customer at the assigned location.
- Direct the work of Service Technician – Drivers and Yard Technicians
- Coordinate and assign appropriate service routes for our team of Service Technician-Drivers to ensure all customer requirements are met.
- Submit weekly completed service order requests and inventory reports.
- Responsible for monitoring fleet condition along with scheduling routine maintenance/repairs as necessary
- Approve employee hourly/weekly time records as needed
- work with OCM Management and HR as needed for Employee relations, coaching, and performance management.
- Assess staffing, training, or employee development needs.
- Daily utilize OTTO’s company vehicle to drive to multiple customer locations within a route or assigned area to deliver, assemble, service, clean, repair or replace the customer’s 2-Wheeled Trash Carts
- Perform safe driving operations of company vehicle (Box Truck (NON-CDL) OR Commercial Pickup with pull behind trailer)
- Respond to customer service order requests for Trash Cart assembly, delivery or removal; fix, repair and/or clean Trash Carts according to customer service order requests preformed onsite or at customer’s location
- Provide warranty/reclaim documentation as required by customer and manufacturing standards.
- Stack, load, and unload both assembled and unassembled plastic Trash Carts and Containers as needed
- Respond quickly and effectively to customer inquiries or requests; reporting any customer concerns or issues to the Field Supervisor
- Record keeping of tasks performed, service order requests completed, and inventory reporting
- Abide by all safety regulations with respect to both Trash Cart handling and operation of company vehicle
- Service vehicle pre and post trip inspections, cleaning and minor maintenance
- Oversite of facility and yard maintenance including organizing, sweeping, and trash maintenance
- Oversite of sorting carts, stacking carts, organizing carts and maintaining order in the cart inventory on premise
- Utilize pressure washer to clean up carts as needed daily or routinely
- Any duties assigned by management as necessary to serve our customers
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High School Diploma or certification required
- Must have a Valid State issued Driver’s License with safe driving record
- 3 or more years experience safe driving operations of company vehicle (Box Truck (NON-CDL) OR Commercial Pickup with pull behind trailer)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (30 to 35 pounds) to include waste containers of various sizes, tools, or other equipment necessary to assemble, repair, clean, load, or deliver 2-Wheeled Trash Carts and Containers
- Basic knowledge and ability to utilize hand tools and small power equipment including Pressure Washer for WASTE CART assembly, maintenance, cleaning and/or repair
- Must be able to read and follow road map instructions and must know the local geographical area
- Must be able to meet Department of Transportation requirements (DOT Physical, Drug Screen, Background Check, and approved Motor Vehicle Report)
- Must have stable work history and strong work ethic
- Ability to read and understand English and to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
- Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and management
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
