Lead Driver / Business Contact (FedEx Ground)

We are currently seeking an experienced senior Delivery Driver (or experienced Business Contact) with driving and operations management experience looking to start a rewarding career with an outstanding transportation logistics company.

We currently operate routes in the Seattle area and the new senior driver will assist in the successful execution of these routes along with other related business operations.

The Business Contact is responsible for assisting delivery drivers safely through action and accountability, maintaining positive and professional relationships with drivers and service managers, and maintaining business needs.

Day to Day Operations:

• Arrive at FedEx terminal to pick up vehicle and packages
• Loading and Unloading packages from truck
• Delivering packages to destination using a GPS system
• Scanning and Logging Packages
• Reliable, responsible, professionally passionate, and honest.
• Assist business tasks and team members to meet the needs of business.
• Responsible for the training of new drivers to ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations
• Accountable for ensuring Driver compliance with daily duties regarding paperwork, Hours of Service compliance, Pre-Trip/Post-Trip inspection
• Creates a culture of safety and ensures each driver is up to date on all monthly safety training
• Maintain positive business relationships with station management and team members.
• Quick and professional responses to all service mail, misdeliveries and/or complaints.
• Ensure accurate deliveries and excellent customer service.

Logistics Previous Experience Requirements:

• 2 years of assistant management or direct management experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• 5 years of experience as a package and delivery driver (preferred but not required)
• Physically willing, ready, and able to drive a cargo van and safely deliver packages to both residential and commercial recipients.
• Previous FedEx experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical as well as a drug screen and criminal background check
• Must have a clean driving record.
