Job Description
As a Lead Dispatcher at BLS CO, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the daily operations of our premium transportation services. Your responsibilities include:
- Assigning drivers for client pick-ups and drop-offs
- Monitoring vehicle locations in real-time
- Communicating effectively with clients and drivers to ensure on-time arrivals and departures
- Handling issues such as vehicle malfunctions, traffic delays, or customer complaints
- Monitoring and tracking vehicle locations in real-time
- Maintaining accurate records of dispatching activities and customer interactions
- Distributing reservations fairly while prioritizing the company’s chauffeurs
- Checking and ensuring the accuracy of dispatch times, especially for out-of-town pickups
- Addressing reservations with VIP clientele or special instructions, meeting their needs and requirements
- Checking arrival times of all flights and coordinating with designated chauffeurs
- Monitoring the "assigned" screen for new job entries
- Debriefing with the previous dispatcher to stay informed about any situations affecting the current shift
- Reviewing the dispatch screen at the beginning of each shift to be aware of events and chauffeur locations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dispatching role
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with GPS and dispatching software
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays
- Team-oriented mindset
