Location: Cherry Point - Havelock, NC
ASCI Federal is currently seeking applicants to be considered for a Lead Dispatcher role. The Lead Dispatcher will be key in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring efficient communication, and supervising the dispatch team. If you have a proven track record in dispatching, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead, we encourage you to apply.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead and supervise the dispatch team, ensuring adherence to federal contract requirements and efficient coordination of transportation services.
- Communication: Coordinate with drivers, clients, and team members to ensure smooth operations, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
- Scheduling: Create and manage daily schedules for drivers, optimizing routes and resources in accordance with federal contract specifications.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve scheduling or logistical challenges to minimize disruptions to transportation services.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and driver information. Utilize dispatch software to track and update real-time information.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in a Lead Dispatcher or supervisory role.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with dispatch software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must meet government requirements to gain access to military installations and systems.
