Lead Data Scientist – Data Analytics (U.S. Remote)

Reporting to the Data Analytics Principal Consultant, the Lead Data Scientist will be responsible for four main functions:

1. Machine learning and statistical modeling in prepackaged intelligent automation technologies like UiPath – ex: building models to enable intelligent document processing or predicting events from data;
2. Use of programming and database skillset for data collection and preparation when needed to build a solution – examples include SQL queries and Python;
3. Communication and visualization of insights – story telling through the building of dashboards within reporting tools like PowerBI and Tableau to enable visualization of insights for executives;
4. Domain knowledge and expertise within data science, modeling, reporting and analytics – including being curious about data and having a hacker mindset to continually stay on top of this fast-paced function. You will serve as a consultant on project teams in conjunction with other functions as needed for each solution – ex: solution architects, developers, business process analysts, etc. When working as the primary point of contact for customers, you will provide expert guidance and support to ensure that they are "wowed" with our service and solution.

Your Performance Objectives – What You Will Accomplish

Within your first 3 months, you will establish customer relationships with payor and provider customers within the healthcare industry, learn about Amitech processes, and begin contributing as a Data Scientist on a consulting team(s).

• Work on a cross functional team to deliver the data solutions needed for intelligent automation technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence
• Review and assess existing data science models, algorithms, and methodologies
• Onboard and familiarize yourself with the customer's data infrastructure, tools, and processes.
• Identify, prepare, and transform a variety of data sets to cleanse, join, aggregate, and manipulate for analysis
• Data discovery and exploration of a variety of data sets to build and test hypotheses and to draw insights
• Build various models using statistical, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms on the large data sets
• Drive reporting solutions by finding insights in large datasets, synthesizing and communicating results, and driving practical business impact

Within your first 6 months and beyond, you will continue building customer relationships and ensuring a WOW experience for Amitech customers, and you will begin to execute on account expansion activities.

• Refine framework for Data Science to be used across teams
• Identify opportunities for innovation and propose new data science initiatives
• Lead data science POCs and projects
• Continue to drive end to end analytics solutions from processing raw data to create a data set(s), building statistical models and machine learning algorithms, to delivering a data-driven product and the reporting and visualization to enable executive story telling
• Lead packaging of data solutions into reusable components and offerings across customer teams
• Continue education in the data science field bringing new methods, techniques, and data solutions to Amitech's customers
