Job Overview

Data Steward: Data Strategy and Governance
The Data Steward of Data Strategy and Governance will be responsible for the overall data strategy implementation and governance of TE's marketing data ecosystem. This role will require a strong hands-on data strategy and management background with an expert understanding of best practices in DATA GOVERNANCE, data systems/technology, and data management. In this highly visible role you will also need to work cross functionally with in-scope TE business units' data champions to gain alignment between their marketing strategy and our first-, second- and third-party customer and contact data. This position will be a hands-on role and require someone who is a critical thinker, team player, exceptionally curious, a self-starter, with impeccable attention to detail and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
    Prioritizes areas of focus for enhancing data and analytics capabilities across commercial functions.
    Provides strategic direction on the evaluation, improvement, and development of functional capabilities relating to business analytics and data integration.
    Ensures that data strategy aligns with marketing strategy.
    Identifies and develops innovative uses of existing/evolving data sources to drive competitive advantage.
    Work with a cross-functional team of stakeholders to develop and lead an effective DATA GOVERNANCE structure for our customer data.
    Actively participate in enterprise DATA GOVERNANCE activities to ensure consistent alignment, evolution, and adherence to standards across data sets.
    Maintain, support, and evolve CRM/marketing data stewardship and accountability model.
    Develop, document, and refine best practices and standard operating procedures for data collection, cleansing, enrichment, deduplication, and enhancement of data.
    Create and use business capability models to visualize what information matters most to the organization based on defined business goals.
    Engage with leadership and key stakeholders to drive adoption of good data management practice across the business.
    Champion the importance of managing our data as an asset.
    Document and maintain marketing meta-data in enterprise DATA GOVERNANCE system (Collibra).
    Monitor, track and report on ongoing data quality levels and data integrity fallouts across data domains such as sales, marketing, and relationship management.
    Perform regular data audits to identify and help prioritize improvement opportunities.
    Support other data stewards, data owners, and third-party partners on execution of, and adherence to, on-going data quality processes and ongoing data cleansing projects.
    Perform data cleansing procedures and remediation activities.
    Enable data standardization and validation measures.

What your background should look like:

    BA/BS in data science, technology or related field of study
    5 - 8 years of experience in developing and enhancing data-driven strategy including establishing governance approach, monitoring outcomes, and improving use of data and analytics to deliver business value to existing and new business models
    3+ years working with CRM systems such as SFDC - ideally within a large scale B2B
    Knowledge of various data mining techniques to generate business insights
    Strong analytical skills with impeccable attention to detail
    Strong working knowledge of digital marketing platforms highly preferred
    Experience with managing large volumes of data (structured and unstructured) is a must
    Ability to work with and through multiple teams to drive alignment and results
    SQL, Python, R or other querying language experience and AI DQM a plus
    Experience with Collibra DIC and Collibra DQ is a plus
    Excellent written I oral communication with ability to influence all levels of the organization
    Ability to collaborate in a global team environment

COMPENSATION
    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $91,760-137,640 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
