Requirements for consideration:

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent plus one year in an accredited school of cytotechnology or Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology

Years of Experience:

• 4 years of experience in all areas of cytotechnology and technical component of the cytopathology service

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluating and solving problems related to the collection and pre-analytic processing of specimens for cytology analysis. 
• Participates in communications to promote and maintain team knowledge while participating in professional growth opportunities to enhance personal, team and service department goals. 
• Develops tests, evaluates, and implements new techniques, procedures, instrumentation, and methodologies in terms of usefulness and practicality to cytology service personnel, equipment, space and budgetary resources. 
• Performs a wide range of moderate to high complexity technical activities related to the production of high-quality testing.
• Other duties as assigned

Certification

• Cytotechnologist (CT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist with specialty in Cytotechnology
