General Description
Would you like to be a part of a program that can serve people in crisis when they need it most and be a leader in the crisis field as 988 gains national attention?
The Crisis Care/Respite Program does all of that and more. Since 1983, the Crisis Care Program has provided a 24/7 crisis line and an 8-bed, voluntary, inpatient, 24/7 respite stabilization program for clients in crisis. Since 2018, the Crisis Care Program has also provided services to Lake County residents who call 988 and is currently one of six locations in the state to do so.
Lead Counselor Key Responsibilities
- Providing crisis intervention services to clients via the crisis hotline (calls, texts/chats) and in-person.
- Evaluates and assesses clients for level of care and prepares and implements treatment plans with clients.
- Provides therapeutic and supportive services to clients, including individual, group, and case management.
- Unit coverage and emergency telephone interventions, reviewing, managing and analyzing data related to NSPL calls and ensure follow-ups are being done with callers who need immediate follow-ups.
- In addition to 30-day follow-ups with linkage, as appropriate.
- Monday-Friday (10:00am-6:30pm)
- Master's degree in behavioral sciences and at least 1 year of clinical experience
- Must possess valid driver's license
