The Lead Commodity SpecialistProfessional Services NAM/Global is responsible for leading and executing strategic sourcing activities for the Professional Services spend with the goal of achieving significant initial cost reductions and year-over-year continuous improvement while maintaining or improving product quality and supplier service levels. This includes working with the Global Category Leader and regional peers to develop strategies to reduce total cost of ownership – including vendor management, demand management, and governance/compliance.The Lead Commodity Specialist will partner with GE functional stakeholders in Business Sourcing, HR, Finance, Legal, Corporate to identify sourcing needs, determine vendor and demand management strategies, execute sourcing events, and drive organizational processes and compliance.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the Professional Services spend category
- Drive annual productivity improvements in applicable spend subcategories
- Execute end-to-end Sourcing process: strategy, market analysis, negotiation process (RFXs), supplier selection and contract creation, and buy channel management
- Track performance within each applicable spend category and define budgetary impact
- Monitor strategy implementation and contract compliance
- Drive best practices
- Leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement category strategies
- Drive value through supplier relationship management
- Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college OR High School Diploma / Equivalent with 10 years in Sourcing Commodity of Professional Services
- 3-5 years' experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, or equivalent consulting experience within Professional Services
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to work the EST time zone

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated negotiations skills

- Experience with RFQ implementation and execution
- Working knowledge of ERP/ SSS systems
- History with supply base consolidation.
Pay Transparency
The starting base pay range for this position is $94,500.00 - $126,000.00 -.The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.This posting is expected to close on February 3, 2024, or thereafter.
- The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
