This is a full-time, direct placement for Interweave Technologies
Interweave Technologies is a Huntsville-based, IT that provides IT technology solutions for customers throughout the US. We're seeking a talented Lead Cabling Technician to deliver world-class service to our corporate, small business, government, and military clients.

Some key responsibilities for your role as a Lead Cabling Tech:
  • Responsible for coordinating and performing on-site installations of voice, data, fiber optics, CCTV, security, and paging systems.
  • Creating and providing innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Installing voice and data cabling to specifications.
  • Efficiently and accurately terminate Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Setting and managing customer expectations.
  • Responsible for reporting to the customer and company management.
  • Reading, understanding, and performing project scope of work with minimal supervision.
  • Building out network closets.
  • Perform accurate testing, labeling, and documentation of all cable jobs.
  • Responsible for managing crews, job hours, and material associated with a project.
  • Determine and manage materials and manhours for a project.
  • Follow safety standards that meet OSHA requirements at all times.

Requirements
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience Efficiently and accurately terminating Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling.
  • 2+ years of being a team lead/supervisor, managing crews, job hours, and material associated with a project.
  • Certification in or at least knowledge of OSHA requirements
  • Intermediate experience with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, time tracking, CRM type software
  • Must be willing to travel. Day trips and some overnight
  • Valid driver's license and must be insurable.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with a get-it-done attitude.
  • Exercise the highest ethical standards.
  • Must have the ability to lift materials weighing 50 plus lbs.
  • Successful completion of a drug screening and a criminal background check.
