Lead Bottle Packer: 3Rd Shift

3rd Shift: 10p-630a ($3.00/hr shift differential)

Job Summary

Assists Shift Operator with overseeing the Bottle Packers and ensuring that the shop floor operations are running according to schedule. Answers all Bottle Packers’ questions. Assist the Shift Operator in ensuring that production is kept at a proper level while maintaining product quality.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist with overseeing Bottle packers and other employees

• Carry out management’s instructions when preparing loads for processing and packaging loads after processing

• Communicates daily production goals and objectives to Bottle Packers

• Direct/assist Bottle Packers in loading untreated products for treatment, confirming the quantities are correct and handling protocols are being followed

• Direct/assist Bottle Packers in retrieving correct boxes, containers, totes of plastic bottles from/to treatment area and unpacking product to prepare for treatment following plant standards

• Direct/assist Bottle Packers in packing treated products into original boxes, containers, or totes confirming the correct quantity and stacking patterns are used and following any special packaging protocols.

• Assist with inventory and plant organization of untreated and treated products

• Must be willing to work shift and/or overtime hours during the week and/or weekends as dictated by operations

• Verifies documentation of workflow throughout the process

• Direct/assist Bottle Packers in daily plant cleaning and organization

• Clean Baskets and other equipment as necessary

• Assist with housekeeping protocols and organization of the plant

• Required to follow all safety, environmental and quality programs

• Required to follow all company policies and procedures

• Create labels • Assist with training new employees

• Other duties as assigned by Management/Shift Operator

Educational and Skills Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years job related experience and/or training preferred

• Must be able to count, read, understand and follow instructions in English.

• One to two years industrial/manufacturing experience in Lead or Supervisory role preferred

• Must have good documentation and organizational skills

• Computer literate preferred

• Forklift and industrial equipment experience helpful, but not required

• Must be able to read, write and speak English

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
