This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.


The Role:


As a Lead Art Designer on our in-house Brand Marketing team, you will work closely with the Associate Creative Director, playing a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the visual identity of Harley-Davidson. You’ll bring expert knowledge of our brand, products, and motorcycle culture. You will help define our expression as we move into the future, while staying true to our iconic heritage. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute compelling creative concepts that resonate with our diverse, global audience. This position offers the flexibility to work remote within the U.S., providing the unique opportunity to inspire and lead creative initiatives across the brand.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and lead the visual direction for marketing campaigns, including digital, print, packaging, and environmental graphics, ensuring they align with our brand strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Creative Director and team on developing a strategic, consistent brand vision for the future, and helping to define that vision through authoring guidelines.
  • Assist in reviewing 3rd party creative work and guiding it to be on brand.
  • Collaborate closely with the Associate Creative Director, marketing teams, and external agencies to create innovative design solutions that effectively communicate Harley-Davidson’s values and product offerings.
  • Guide and mentor our team designers, providing creative feedback and ensuring high-quality execution of all creative assets.
  • Oversee the production of visual materials, from concept development through to final execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to keep Harley-Davidson at the forefront of design innovation and cultural relevance.
  • Ensure brand premium brand expression, quality, and consistency across all marketing materials and channels. Ensure quality and accuracy across deliverables.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
  • This job typically requires 8 years of professional experience in graphic design or art direction
  • Proven track record of leading successful branding and marketing campaigns
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in visual design, including digital and print media.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and common digital tools.
  • Exceptional creativity and innovation with a strong understanding of photography style, typography, color, and layout.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and justify design decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passion for the Harley-Davidson brand and a deep understanding of its customer base.


Location:


This is a remote position, providing flexibility for the candidate to work from any location within the US, provided adequate internet service is available. Frequent communication, collaboration and meetings with the team and Associate Creative Director are required throughout the work day.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
