Lead Architect Enterprise Architecture - U.s. Based Remote

Enterprise Architect helps mature our technology discipline whilst simultaneously working with solution architects to help drive our critical programs and projects. The EA is actively engaged with our business. As part of our maturation, we are transitioning to an operating model that provides governance coupled with a collaborative approach to craft our technology ecosystem and trajectory aligning programs to the target state architecture.
Our ideal candidate has worked up through the ranks. Typical path of progression is from programmer/DB admin/SysOps/solution architect to Enterprise Architect. We need solid technology competence combined with the ability to design, formulate, and effectively articulate our technology strategy and vision. Good social and communication skills are essential, you'll do need to have tactfulness and ability to influence collaboratively without creating unnecessary friction. It's a challenging role, but you'll have the authority and organizational backing to help us mature our practice and our technology ecosystem.
Key job Functions:

• Build relationships with tech and product leaders across the organization to dissect business problems and objectives and apply the technology lens to solve.
• Help drive and develop a North Star vision for assigned domain.
• Must drive organizational efficiency by analyzing and finding opportunities to consolidate systems and platforms across boundaries and domains.
• Technology architects plan, design, and build IT architectural systems and solutions.
• Develop and implement programs and platforms, often after undertaking a high-level analysis of the organization needs and existing resources.
• Work collaboratively with solution architects, developers, engineers, and other specialists.
• Stay informed of the latest emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that address an organization's challenges and objectives.
• Contribute to strategic vision of the enterprise through the integration of IT architecture solutions, business capabilities models, complex design patterns, technical strategy, and roadmaps
• Collaborate with both Product and Business teams to develop a full set of existing capabilities, future capabilities, identify gaps and develop transition architectures to target state
• Develops company business and system architecture plans and reviews cost and feasibility of system requests while ensuring the planning aligns with the strategic needs of the company
• Create and present technical information in order to influence and gain the understanding of business as well as technical roles across the organization
• Lead Solution Architects to provide effective consulting on complex projects including fit for purpose and technical evaluations
• Architectural leadership in the resolutions of inter-program and inter-project issues.
• Mentor, evangelize and educate across the technology org to help teams understand and apply architecture.

What will you need?

• Must have experience leading architecture roadmaps and solutions in large-scaled consumer facing portfolio of products and systems: web and mobile.
• Must have exceptional communication skills and ability to present architecture strategy and tactics to senior leadership and engineering teams, solicit feedback and alignment.
• Leadership and influence skills to drive engineering and product solutioning in decision making and aligning to technology strategy.
• A key understanding of processes required to run an ecommerce platform
• A Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years experience preferably working across multiple IT disciplines with a background in some of the following: software development, database management and/or design and 3 years experience within architecture. Required: conceptual and fundamental understanding of:
• General security principles
• Networking technologies/Infrastructure/Cloud
• ITAM, ITIL, Lean/Agile
• Web/Cloud
• Architecture Patterns and Design

Compensation Range:
$138,400 - $181,000; At Anywhere, actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
