Purpose/ Summary:

The Senior Account Manager position will be accountable as a leading role in ensuring client and customer needs are met and understood by each department in the division and for flexibility in handling a variety of duties pertaining to both Pursuit and its clients.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Under limited direction from the General Manager and VP of Operations:

  • Identifies opportunities across the Division for margin enhancement through standardization and implementing best practices
  • Ensures site tracking of purchase order to purchase order (PO-to-PO) price increases is completed in detailed and timely fashion; communicates results to VP Operations and divisional finance
  • Validates new customer service representatives and Account Managers are onboarded efficiently and they receive proper training from site and divisional resources
  • Implements standard guide for prices on Non-Recurring Engineering Costs (NREC) for items that are out of scope on original quote
  • Identifies and implements process improvements in delivery communications to the customer
  • Verifies that existing long-term agreement cost pass through allowances are documented, reviewed and submitted to customer on time
  • Confirms customer scorecards are managed consistently across the sites (implement processes to control the on-time delivery (OTD) measurement); monitors account performance with regards to customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, profitability, quality trends, timely and effective communication and general financial housekeeping
  • Collects and analyzes data concerning consumer behavior to understand changing needs
  • Acts as project manager, as needed, to facilitate activities between the customer and various Pursuit team members (Engineering, Operations, Planning, etc.) to bring a project through development and into production
  • Executes, where applicable, standard work for determining which site will quote on opportunities that are below the large opportunity threshold
  • Actively identifies and pursues revenue for terminations, obsolescence and changes in design
  • Solicits business opportunities supporting Pursuit’s strategic growth plans
  • Visits customers to build and enhance relationships with key decision makers in the technical and tactical communities
  • Observes all company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Ability:

  • In depth knowledge of commercial and civil aerospace customers, component products, complex assemblies, and programs
  • Strong knowledge of company’s capabilities, manufacturing processes, engineering, products, pricing/quoting systems, quality systems and other support services throughout the organization
  • Strong financial discipline in business decision process
  • Solid technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and presentation skills
  • Team leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Seven (7) years of related experience in sales, business development, sales customer service, program/account management, marketing, or finance in a manufacturing environment
