Mental Health Counselor Summary:
- Join our team working in a multidisciplinary clinic of SLPs, OTs, Dietitians, PTs, lactation consultants and mental health therapists.
- Part-time or Full-time
- Providing therapy to children and teens 19 and under.
Mental Health Counselor Responsibilities:
- Completes individualized treatment planning with clients including initial, on-going, continuing care and discharge plans.
- Integrate person-centered therapeutic interventions to clients and families.
- Completes referral and discharge planning with client and family and other team members
- Completes individual, group, and family counseling sessions which address the individual mental health needs of the client
- Prepares and completes all necessary documentation and record keeping.
- Prepares individualized daily notes, showing accurate and personalized documentation regarding the client’s progress and/or lack of progress.
- Demonstrates knowledge and competency related to confidentiality and ethical standards of the counseling profession.
- Trains, mentors and guides entry-level/training counselors as assigned.
- Works within a team setting- works effectively with a treatment team format and knows how to work with supervision.
Mental Health Counselor Requirements:
- Pediatric experience is required.
- Professional license as an LPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW or LMFT (Required)

- Completion of a Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, psychology or social science

- Pediatrics: 1 year (Required).
License/Certification:
- Maryland State licensure is required.
