- The apprenticeship for Substation Performance consists of six, 6-month training steps.
- Must progress from one apprenticeship period to the next by successfully completing all requirements of the prescribed six (6) training steps including written, oral and demonstration skill tests learned through on the job and classroom training.
- Assist in construction, maintenance, relocation, diagnosis of problems and repair of primary and secondary electrical substation facilities in a safe, efficient, and focused manner.
- Work as directed to assist in the restoration of electrical service.
- Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics or Electrical Technology, or 60 credit hours of formal accredited training in electrical, electronics, engineering, or related technical discipline
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in electrical work, electronics, engineering or related technical field. Experience in industry related work, commercial, and/or military experience may offset education
