Lawn Care Supervisor

The Lawn Care Supervisor plans and schedules the resources for all Landscape Maintenance jobs, ensuring that projects are completed within a prescribed time frame.

Role and Responsibilities

• Formulates work assignments for each Location and ensures all employees are properly trained for these assignments.
• Ensure all methods and procedures are conducted in a safe and hazard-free approach. Follow daily operations Plan
• Cut lawns, using a hand mower or power mower. Trim and edge around sidewalks, walls, and flowerbeds. Trim shrubs. Clean and police grounds.
• Safely and appropriately handle weed killers and fertilizer.
• Counsel employees on appropriate interpersonal communication, problem solving, and other job maintenance skills.
• Ensure quality service checks are completed daily.
• Maintain machinery and equipment providing preventive care and minor adjustment.
• Use problem solving skills when working with internal and external customers.
• Document observations about attendance, punctuality, behavior, and performance progress of all staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities over the Lawn Care team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year supervisory experience.
• Creative and flexible problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to plan, organize and meet project deadlines.
• The ability and desire to work with rehabilitation clients, employees, and the public.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently and ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Valid Texas driver’s license without restrictions.
• Knowledge of Lawn Care equipment.
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to work outside and adjust to changing temperatures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
• Frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
• The ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress is also a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
