Lawn Care Specialist

Coastal Turf Solutions is a growing Lawn Care company located on the north shore of Long Island. We are dedicated to bringing golf course quality turf to home lawns, estates and sports fields across the north shore of long island. We are looking to hire a full-time Lawn Care Specialist to start in the middle of March to work through November. Year round work is possible for the right person. Tech will work closely with owner and other crew members on a daily basis.

Daily Responsibilities

-Mix and apply pesticides according to the label rate

-Load trucks with fertilizer and apply at proper rate

-Manage / train new technicians to ensure safe and accurate applications

-Ability to diagnose weeds, diseases and insect damage to ensure proper treatment

-Adjust irrigation systems to compensate for current weather conditions

-Maintain / Clean turf equipment and vehicles

-Ability to complete lawn, tree and shrub applications in a timely manner

-Confidently maneuver truck and trailer set up

-Record daily applications in accordance of NYS

The ideal candidate should be

- 2+ years in Golf, Landscape or Sports Turf industry

-Must be willing to learn

-Highly motivated

-3A pesticide license or ability to obtain NYS pesticide license

-Ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members

-Have clean driver’s license

-Ability to lift 50lb bags repetitively

- Experience is a plus but we are also willing to train the right person

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
