SalaryWe are seeking a part-time legal assistant or law clerk to join our team. The assistant will perform legal and administrative work. The legal assistant/law clerk will work directly with attorneys. Attention to detail is a must to succeed as a part of our team! The office is located walking distance from the Metro.
Responsibilities include:
- Draft, proofread, and revise correspondence and documents
- Electronically file documents with the court
- Assisting Managing Attorney for Maryland and DC with carrying out their duties including maintaining calendar.
- Support attorneys in assigned division with processing legal documents and managing client requirements
Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must have graduated law school, demonstrate excellent writting and research skills, and be able to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous law firm experience highly preferred but not required
- Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
