Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Performs duties related to preparing linen for use in the hospital, including inventory maintenance, folding, exchange cart preparation, and delivery.
- May assist in separating soiled linens and inspecting them for defects and removing debris.
- Follows infection control and universal precaution procedures.
- Loads linens into machines and distributes when clean.
- Maintains assigned work areas and supplies. Follows established procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other applicable federal and state regulations.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to stoop, bend, and twist.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
