Laundry Valet Attendant

Job Summary

As a Laundry Valet Attendant you will be responsible for quality, timely pick-up, and delivery of guest laundry. You will also sort dirty linens, operate the washer and dryer machines, and maintain a safe and clean work area.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick up/deliver guest laundry/shoe shine per guest request.
• Record any guest/employee outgoing/incoming laundry.
• Report any descriptions for guest/employee laundry to the manager.
• Compare incoming guest/employee laundry with outgoing list. Report any missing laundry item to the manager.
• Sort employee dirty uniform by checking pockets.
• Organize uniform room and put away uniforms.
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area.
• Work in the laundry room. Assist on the ironer and fold towels.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area.
• Sort dirty linens into each category.
• Pushing and Pulling cart.
• Weigh cart with linen inside.
• Loading and unloading linen from washer/dryer machine.
• Operate/adjust washer and dryer machine for linens.
• Enter on daily production sheet all items processed.
• Report malfunctioning of equipment.
• Keep equipment clean.
• Ability to maintain good relations with staff.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions, to make decisions with minimal supervision and to prioritize tasks in order to maintain service standards.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Functional ability to use the English language.
• Ability to engage in continuous cleaning activities for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Has prior experience performing cleaning duties in similar environment.

Work Conditions

• Ability to walk, stand, life, reach, pull, push, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, turn and grasp.

Schedule:

• 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Monday -Friday
• Open to weekends

Wage Rate: $29.64
