Laundry Mechanic

Summary:
Under limited supervision performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of industrial washers, dryers, water softeners, boilers, ironers, folders, and other equipment. Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs equipment, performs inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment. Prepares and maintains records and reports.
Responsibilities:

• Ability to fine-tune automated systems for required production efficiency and quality.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as changing contacts, checking motors and ensuring the proper operation of various robotic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical and electrical systems on all plant equipment.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Inspect equipment on a regular basis.
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the manufacturer's preventative maintenance programs.
• Assist in scheduling preventative maintenance tasks.
• Provide advice and suggestions to the Laundry Director as needed.
• Attend appropriate technical and manufacturer training.
• Obtain additional licenses and certifications as appropriate.
• Knowledge of work safety and OSHA regulations. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
