The community you’ll be caring for:

  • Schedule: M-Thursday 1:30 PM - 10:30 Pm with Friday and Saturday off.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Diagnostic Repair Technician troubleshoots, repairs and installs laundry equipment and components keeping the laundry operating at full capacity. Diagnoses and repairs multiple interconnected systems and components including mechanical, electronic, programmable logic controllers (PLC programming), electric motor inverter drives, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam and hot oil systems. Utilizes a variety of test equipment for troubleshooting of equipment and systems to the component level. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

  • Utilizes all available resources to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment. Verifies completed tasks by testing complete functionality of equipment after repair is completed.
  • Inspects equipment for possible failure of parts and reports it immediately.
  • Follows all regulatory guidelines and safety procedures related to the tasks assigned.
  • Uses proper electrical installation and Repair Techniques in a workman like manner with panels, conduits, flex, cut in boxes, devices and components.
  • Uses inventory management system effectively to track and input repairs made.
  • Completes work orders in a timely and professional manner following all hospital best practice standards, policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Works with the equipment manufacturer technical service departments when required to resolve difficult problems in a timely manner.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal English
  • General Electrical Journeyman knowledge
  • General Plumbing Journeyman knowledge
  • General Industrial Mechanic Journeyman knowledge
  • PLC programming and diagnosis knowledge and skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and building/mechanical drawings
  • Inverter installation and programming
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Schematics reading

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 4 years of experience working with electronic controls, PLC’s, inverters, pneumatic systems and hydraulic system
