Essential Functions
- Receive and follow laundry schedule/instructions as outlined in the established laundry service policies and procedures.
- Collect, sort, weigh, and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc.; treat stains; and fold, stack, hang and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc., as necessary.
- Keep the work area(s) free of hazardous conditions (e.g., spills, exposed material) and follow all established safety rules/regulations at all times; report all incidents and accidents, equipment malfunctions or breakdowns, unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to the Health Center Environmental Supervisor immediately.
- During the shift, maintain an adequate supply of clean linen for resident comfort and convenience.
- During emergency conditions, ensure that clean laundry, linen, garments, etc. are distributed to designated areas.
- Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and equipment/supplies are properly replenished and stored before leaving such areas on breaks and at the end of the workday.
- Follow and maintain established procedures on cross-contamination, infectious material, etc., to ensure the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is maintained at all times.
- Attend meetings and participate in committees as requested.
- Attend and participate in workshops and seminars to enhance skills as well as to maintain a professional status.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as directed.
Experience
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of laundry experience is preferred.

Pay: Up to $14.00 per hour
