We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Laundry Aide to join our team. As a Laundry Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our medical facility maintains clean and sanitary linens for our patients and staff. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to the overall comfort and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens according to established procedures and guidelines
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines
• Ensure that all linens are properly disinfected and free from stains, odors, and debris
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that all linens are delivered and distributed in a timely manner
• Inspect linens for damage or wear and mend or replace as necessary
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when handling linens and laundry equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred
• Knowledge of proper laundry procedures, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding
• Familiarity with different types of fabrics and their specific care instructions
• Ability to operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy loads
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Pay: $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
