Lathe Machinist

Grantsburg, WI - Hourly Range 22-37hr

Job Brief

The CNC Machinist is responsible for managing the production rate and quality, making sure the product meets the highest standards of the Company's product line.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational functions of CNC machines, maintain proper maintenance of machine equipment
• Maintain acceptable reject and production rates
• Verify part compliance to print or other documentation, uses Calipers and Micrometers
• Reading of blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required
• Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job. Correctly loading and unloading fixturing, Jaws, Chucks, Main Spindle, Sub Spindle, Collets, Pads, Bar feeder inputs
• Plans proper sequence of steps to complete assignment which may include programming input or corrections. Determine and program size of batches and speed of the machine

Requirements

• Trade/associate degree and/or 5 years minimum experience.
• Knowledge of Mazaks, Mazatrol Matrix and Smooth controls is desired, but not required.
• We'll send the right candidate for additional training if needed.
• Good communication skills and accurate system reporting is also a must.
