It is our expectation that you will communicate promptly, come to an interview that we have agreed upon with you, and always show up for scheduled shifts, unless there is a dire emergency. We have a relatively small pool of employees, (so that people can get the number of hours they need to work), which means that there are fewer people to replace you when someone doesn't come in. If you are unable to work until 2AM, please do not apply. 80% of our business is between 9pm and 1:30am. We do not currently have day shifts available for this position.

Our customers enjoy BIG, warm, gooey cookies, often topped with delicious ice cream, in our Tampa shop, or delivered straight to their doorsteps. We are Sweet Fiends, (formerly Cookie Munchers), a Late Night Cookie Shop in the north Tampa area, across from the USF campus. Life is sweet...We make it sweeter!
Qualified applicants must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate the ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment. You MUST be willing and able to work Late Nights from 7pm until 2am and must have some weekend availability. A love for baking is preferred, but not necessary. You must be dedicated to a high standard of hospitality, and have a strong desire to provide the best possible customer experience!
Responsibilities Include:
- Operating the cash register
- Putting orders together in a box
- Greeting and engaging with customers
- Making cookie dough
- Scooping & rolling cookie dough balls
- Baking cookies
- Scooping ice cream
- Preparing milkshakes and blended coffee beverages.
- Cleaning equipment, surfaces, and washing dishes
- Maintaining cookie and product inventory/supply
- Quality control
- Maintaining kitchen organization
- Providing friendly customer service, and timely problem resolution.
- Preparing orders for various delivery platforms
Position Requirements:
- Must pay attention to detail to avoid mistakes. Baking is a precise process and needs to be exact, in order to maintain quality control.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of times.
- Must be a quick learner
- Must be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative in completion of routine duties within the shop
- Must have a high energy level
- Must have a positive attitude
- A love for baking and cookies is preferred but not necessary
