Laser/Saw Operator

Laser Operator Sterling Industries – Kalamazoo, MI 49009 Job Type: Full-time   About the Company Based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Sterling Industries is a fast-growing North American based contract manufacturer and assembler of medical devices and sub-components. We help clients deliver successful products by providing scaled production, design-for-manufacturing expertise, supplier consolidation and other critical value chain services.   About the Role Due to growth at Sterling Industries, we have openings for Laser Operators / Saw Operators Monday through Friday on multiple shifts (2nd & 3rd shift). The Laser/Saw Operator will safely perform laser cutting for a variety of different materials based on the company’s needs.   MAJOR DUTIES: * Operate equipment in a safe and timely manner. * Assist with cleaning of equipment and organization. * Handling materials * Select proper setup and proper cutting programs with fixtures. * Ad hoc requirements to support the Operations team  * Adhere to all safety rules and protocols.   POSITION REQUIREMENTS * Attention to detail and the ability to interpret and read work orders is a must. * Ability to multiple, divide, add, subtract. * Previous Laser or Saw experience is preferred. * Excellent communication skills * High School Diploma * Team Player * Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. * Punctual and reliable   Benefits: Full time employees are offered a comprehensive benefit package including:   * 401(k) with 1:1 match * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Referral program * Vision insurance   We will review applications as they are received.
