Job Title: Laser / Production Technician (Temporary ASAP to Mid-August)

Job Summary:

This position is to produce conforming product using departmental equipment, making sure that the departmental area stays well organized, and waste and scrap material is handled appropriately is required and accurately recording time and part information as well as providing feedback to the department on the efficiency and effectiveness of the program(s).

This position has the potential to expand into programming of the departmental equipment, based on ability and desire.

During the production process. Additionally, possibility to work with 3rd party vendors for training and troubleshooting.

Core Roles:

· Operate Laser – Load appropriate material, load and run appropriate program, properly handle/sort parts.

· Area Maintenance – Keep area safe and clean. Handle Scrap / Skeletons, remediate any hazards.

· Feedback – Record time accurately, provide feedback on programs and material handling.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Production – Operate the equipment, make sure the correct program and material is being used.
• Quality - Perform quality inspections as specified for the production run. Report results as required.
• Scrap Handling – ensure proper sorting and handling of non-conforming parts and/or scrap material.
• Departmental Maintenance – Clean and maintain the space as directed. Perform light maintenance (slat replacement, check operator responsible consumable like fluids / grease as well as air filters).
• Feedback – provide feedback to the programmers on efficiency and effectiveness of the programs to improve quality/speed/etc.

Preferred Skills:

• 3D CAD Modeling Ability / SolidWorks / TruTops BOOST
• Experience in ERP-centric Manufacturing | Material Issuing / WO Management
• Forklift Operation Experience

Job Requirements:

• High degree of personal accountability, computer skills, and ability to read fabrication and technical documents.
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position. Lifting, twisting and bending.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift weights appropriate to assigned task (Mechanical lifts are available for heavier loads).
• Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods (Up to three (3) hours).
• Must be able to bend at waist and/or knees to properly lift pan of parts.
• Must be able to push loads on carts up to 500 lbs.
• Must be able to perform simple addition, copying figures, counting, and recording.
• Must be able to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
• Must be able to safely perform repetitive motions with fingers, wrists, hands, arms and legs.

Job Types: Full-time Temporary

Salary: $17-$22 | D.O.E.

Schedule:

• 8-hour Shift | Monday thru Friday (Unless otherwise noted)
• Position to be filled ASAP and go through summer. Position to be concluded at the start of the school year.

Work Location: In person – Generally indoor year-round, heated work area in winter.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
