This Employee BenefitsLarge Group Practice Leader position leads and manages our Employee Benefits division catering to Large Group clients. This position is responsible for overseeing a team of professionals, developing, executing business strategies, and ensuring exceptional client service.


The Large Group Practice Leader's essential functions include:

Essential Functions


Leadership and Team Management

  • Provide strong leadership to the Employee Benefits team, fostering a collaborative environment and high-performance culture.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members, ensuring their professional development and growth.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities, monitor performance, and conduct regular performance reviews.

Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Large Group clients, building strong relationships and understanding their specific needs and objectives.
  • Lead client presentations, discussions, and negotiations related to benefit program design, renewal strategies, and cost-containment initiatives.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the Large Group Practice, drive revenue growth, and achieve profitability targets.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to proactively adjust strategies and offerings.

Employee Benefits Consulting

  • Provide expert consultation to clients on Employee Benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, retirement, and other related offerings.
  • Analyze and evaluate benefit plan designs, costs, and options to develop tailored recommendations that align with client objectives.

Client Retention and Growth

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance and improve client benefit programs, addressing challenges and offering innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing Large Group accounts.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

  • Stay up to date with federal and state regulations governing Employee Benefits, ensuring clients' plans to remain compliant.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory changes and their impact on client benefit offerings.

Financial Management

  • Monitor financial performance of Large Group accounts, tracking revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Work with the finance teams to develop accurate budget forecasts and expense projections.

Other

Requirements:

To be considered for the Employee BenefitsLarge Group Practice Leader position, you should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school), in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field: Required
  • 5+ years of experience in Employee Benefits consulting, with a focus on Large Group clients.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing Large Group accounts.
  • In-depth knowledge of Employee Benefits programs, insurance products, and related history trends.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CEBS, CBP, PHR, SPHR) are a plus.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including benefit administration platforms and Microsoft Office suite.
