Large Format Color Operator

Thomas Printworks is searching for a talented individual to work in our Operations team. The successful candidate will be a multitasker and possess the ability to meet deadlines. This is Large Format- Operator position based out of our San Antonio, TX location.

What You Will Do:

If you’re looking for a dynamic opportunity and would you like to work for a company where growth is encouraged, this may be the job for you. The ideal candidate will operate printers such as flatbed printers, various roll-to-roll printers and routers. Successful candidates must have superior people skills and prior print experience.

Duties

• Operates and maintains color imaging devices such as color printers and copiers.
• Operates router; works in finishing: trims completed prints as necessary.
• Inspects finished prints for defects, such as dust and smudges, and removes defects.
• Facilitates quality control in the printing and finishing process.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• Gathers, organizes,wraps and labels completed work for delivery to customer or next department.
• Completes paperwork for quality control and billing process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Strong computer skills and proficiency
• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret specific work instructions.
• Well organized and extremely detail oriented.
• Ability to properly run various printers; flatbed printers, various roll-to-roll printers and routers
• Familiarity with Onyx RIP a plus
• Multi-tasking ability is a must.
• Ability to maintain an orderly work flow and prioritize assignments
• Exceptional people skills
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
• Strong customer service skills
• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
