Your Role: As our General Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our mission, overseeing the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance operations that keep our projects running smoothly. Street Services require a manager that loves projects and seeing how those completed projects impact the community.

You'll collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, from maintenance crews to administrative staff, to ensure seamless execution of our services. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing an outdoor cleaning, power washing and beautification program that includes 142 blocks, 20 alleys and the canal towpath! You'll plan the staff schedules and assignments to optimize efficiency. We keep DC a beautiful and clean place to visit. Sweeping, Cleaning, Pressure Washing, Painting, Planting, Weeding, Masonry, ......everything that a community needs to be a premier visitors' destination.

Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to uphold the highest standards of workplace safety

Monitoring budgetary performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings

Fostering positive relationships with residents, visitors, clients and stakeholders through clear communication and exceptional service delivery

Leading by example, embodying our values of integrity, accountability, and excellence in all that you do

What You Bring: We're looking for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about making a difference in their community. The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven experience (5+) in Ground Maintenance, Project Management and/or Operations management or a related field, with a track record of success in leadership roles
• Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to continuously juggle , reorganize and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines without ever compromising quality
• Proven experience in recruiting, hiring and onboarding new employees, coaching, training and growing your team to not only meet but exceed your expectations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with our team members at all levels of understanding
• A proactive mindset and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and tackle any challenge head-on. This is a working general manager role. You will get dirty! But, you will relish in the fruits of your labor
• A passion for urban revitalization and a commitment to creating positive change in the communities we serve

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $105,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
